Your legal rights come first. These terms and our commercial warranties do not replace your consumer rights.
01
About these terms
GadgetBar provides device repairs, refurbished technology, accessories and device buyback services. These terms explain our general customer arrangements. The service or product details agreed with you form part of your contract.
GadgetBar is led by Philip Amo-Adei, based at Robinsway, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, KT12 5RE. Contact us at info@gadgetbar.co.uk or +44 7310 297329. Please arrange any visit or device handover with us first.
Our Booking Terms contain the detailed repair conditions. Read them alongside these terms and our Warranty Policy. Nothing here removes your statutory rights.
02
Quotes, requests & confirmation
Submitting a repair request does not reserve an appointment or take payment. An acknowledgement confirms that we have received your request. We separately agree the repair, parts, price, location and appointment details with you before confirming the booking.
Tell us the correct device model, fault and any previous damage or repairs. If inspection identifies additional work, we explain the options and obtain your agreement before proceeding. A quote marked “price on request” requires an individual assessment.
For shop purchases, an automated order acknowledgement confirms receipt. We confirm acceptance and availability separately. If we cannot supply an order, we explain the issue and refund any payment taken for the unavailable item.
03
Prices, deposits & payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. Your confirmed quote or checkout total will show the amount payable, including applicable taxes and any agreed delivery or diagnostic charges.
For repair bookings, you may pay a £20 deposit or the full service price, as arranged with GadgetBar. A deposit counts towards your repair total; the remaining balance and payment timing are confirmed with you.
Payment options depend on those available at checkout or provided with your confirmed booking. Any instalment product is subject to the payment provider’s eligibility checks and terms. We do not add extra work or charges without your agreement.
04
Appointments & repair times
Mobile repairs are available in selected Surrey and nearby London areas, subject to coverage, suitable working conditions, parts and appointment availability. Postal repairs are arranged separately for UK customers.
Suitable common repairs can be completed in under 45 minutes. This is an estimate, not a guarantee: the device, fault, inspection findings and parts required can affect the time needed. We will explain a revised plan if the repair is more involved.
Make sure the agreed device and an authorised person are available at the appointment. For changes, lateness, missed visits and diagnostic arrangements, see the Booking Terms.
05
Cancellations & rescheduling
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an appointment. Our Booking Terms explain the notice periods and rescheduling arrangements.
Any cancellation charge or amount retained from a deposit must be fair, reflect the loss reasonably caused by your cancellation and take account of steps we can take to reduce that loss. A deposit is not automatically non-refundable, and statutory cancellation rights take priority.
For eligible services booked online or away from our premises, you normally have 14 days from making the contract to cancel. If you expressly request an early start, a proportionate charge may apply for work supplied before cancellation. The cancellation right ends after full performance only with the required prior consent and acknowledgement.
06
Preparing your device & testing
Back up your device before a repair wherever possible. Tell us about faults, prior repairs, liquid exposure and any company security restrictions. We record the condition and test relevant functions before and after work where the device allows this.
You may be asked to unlock the device yourself for agreed testing. Do not send passwords, unlock codes or payment-card details through our enquiry or booking forms. We will explain any access needed for diagnosis and agree an appropriate approach.
Screen replacement can affect features paired to original components, including display or biometric functions. Opening a device may affect its water resistance. The Booking Terms explain these risks and how testing limitations are recorded; they do not exclude responsibility for a failure to use reasonable care and skill.
07
Repair parts & warranty
Your quote identifies the part option you select. Where available, screen choices are Genuine, Refurbished and Aftermarket OLED. We explain the available option before work begins.
Aftermarket OLED screens: 12-month warranty.
Genuine and refurbished screens: 3-month warranty.
These periods cover eligible faults in the fitted part and our workmanship, subject to the Warranty Policy. Other eligible repairs carry 12-month cover unless a different period is expressly stated before booking.
Accidental damage, liquid damage after repair and unrelated faults are not covered by this commercial warranty. Liquid-damaged devices have separate diagnostic arrangements and are excluded from commercial warranty cover. Your legal rights remain unaffected. Contact us with your repair reference if a problem returns.
08
Refurbished devices & accessories
Check the selected model, storage, colour, condition, compatibility and included items before ordering. Product photographs may illustrate the model; the selected condition grade describes expected cosmetic wear. Refurbished devices can show signs of previous use.
GadgetBar refurbished phones include a 12-month warranty and have battery health above 85% at supply. The product listing and Warranty Policy explain the cover. Accessories have their own product details and any stated manufacturer or GadgetBar warranty.
If you notice an error in an order or listing, tell us promptly. We will clarify it before supply rather than substitute a materially different device or specification without your agreement.
09
Delivery & postal repairs
The available delivery method, charge and estimated timing are provided before you commit. Unless another delivery period is agreed, goods must be delivered within 30 days. Tell us promptly about a delay, missing parcel or delivery damage.
For postal repairs, contact us before sending a device. We confirm the receiving address, packing instructions, postage arrangements and any applicable charges. Do not send a device to an unconfirmed address.
Pack devices securely and retain your tracking details and proof of postage. We explain the return arrangements once the repair is agreed. Responsibility for loss or damage is assessed according to the agreed arrangements and applicable law.
10
Online returns & faulty goods
For eligible online goods purchases, you can normally notify us that you wish to cancel within 14 days of delivery and then return the goods within a further 14 days. Contact us with your order reference to obtain the return address and instructions.
We refund eligible cancellations within the applicable legal period, normally within 14 days of receiving the goods back or evidence of return. Standard outbound delivery is refundable where required. Extra delivery upgrades need not be refunded. A deduction may apply for handling beyond what is reasonably needed to inspect the item.
We explain any change-of-mind return postage payable by you before purchase. If goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied, contact us for an appropriate remedy and return arrangements; we cover reasonable return costs where legally required. A commercial warranty does not replace your rights for faulty goods.
11
Selling & trading in your device
An initial buyback or trade-in value is an estimate based on the information supplied. The final offer depends on inspection of the model, storage, condition, battery, locks and functionality.
You must own the device or have authority to sell it. Back up your information, sign out of accounts, remove activation locks and erase personal data before an agreed handover. We do not require your account password on an enquiry form.
If inspection changes the valuation, we explain the revised offer and ask for your approval before completing the transaction. Collection, return costs, payment timing and any credit towards another device are confirmed before you accept the arrangement.
12
Customer data & privacy
We use the contact, device and appointment information you provide to respond to enquiries, arrange repairs, manage orders and provide support. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled, including sharing with service providers, retention and your rights.
Repair testing is limited to what is reasonably necessary for the agreed work. We do not need access to unrelated personal content. Where a test could expose private information, discuss an alternative with us, such as carrying out the test while you are present.
Data loss is possible during diagnosis or repair, so keep a backup wherever possible. We do not exclude liability where loss results from our failure to use reasonable care and skill. For a privacy enquiry or a request about your information, email info@gadgetbar.co.uk. You may also raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
13
Business & school customers
Tell us if you are booking on behalf of a business or school, and make sure you have authority to approve the work. Share device lists, access restrictions and any IT or safeguarding requirements before we arrange a visit.
Batch repairs, invoicing, collection and ongoing support arrangements are agreed individually. Consumer-only cancellation rights may not apply to business purchases. Any separate business agreement will be clearly identified before acceptance.
14
Your rights, concerns & complaints
We are responsible for providing services with reasonable care and skill and supplying goods that meet the standards required by law. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, or liability for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
If something is wrong, email info@gadgetbar.co.uk with your order or repair reference and a description of the issue. We will review the information, explain the next steps and keep you informed. Do not include passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland retain any right to bring proceedings in their home courts and the protection of applicable mandatory consumer law.
15
Website use & changes to these terms
Use the website lawfully and provide accurate information. Do not misuse forms, attempt unauthorised access or interfere with the site. Product names and manufacturer trademarks belong to their respective owners; GadgetBar is an independent repair business.
We may update these terms as our services develop. The version supplied or made available when your contract is agreed applies to that contract; later changes do not retrospectively remove your rights.
